The Privacy Policy constitute a valid, binding, and enforceable agreement between you and me, Shea Rose, and Shea Rose, LLC (collectively referred to as “we” or “us”). The Privacy Policy applies to all data that the Website collects, especially data that can potentially be used to identify a particular user (“personal information”). Information Collection: What, How, and Why
What information does my Website collect?
In general, you can visit the Website without disclosing any personal information at all. The Website only collects the following personal information that you voluntarily submit:
a) The email address of users who sign up for our mailing list;
b) The first and last names and email addresses of users with general inquiries who fill out my Contact form, as well as any other information users choose to disclose while filling out the form;
c) The first and last names, telephone number, and email addresses of users who book a Discovery Session;
d) The first and last name, email address, telephone number, physical address, and occupation of users who submit a Root + Ritual + Rise Intake Form or Mat to the Mic Intake Form, as well as any further information you choose to share while filling out the Intake forms, such as vocal health, physical health, mental and emotional health, vocal training, vocal expression, creative expression, yoga experience, and program expectations;
e) The first and last name, email address, telephone number, physical address and/or billing address, credit card information, and any further information you choose to share while filling out the applicable forms, of users who book the Root + Ritual + Rise program, the Mat to the Mic program, or a 1:1 Coaching Session (collectively, the “Programs”); and
f) The first and last name, email address, title, physical address, and telephone number of users who fill out our Booking form for group programs or our Booking form for live performances. Otherwise, the Website automatically collects anonymous, aggregated user information via Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics. The data the Website collects when you visit may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about your connection to the Website, such as the operating system and Internet service providers used, an anonymized Internet Protocol address, and other similar information (“Log Data”). We use Stripe and PayPal for payments, analytics, and other business services. Stripe and PayPal may collect personal data including via cookies and similar technologies. The personal data Stripe and PayPal collect may include transactional data and identifying information about devices that connect to its services. Stripe and PayPal use this information to operate and improve the services they provides to us, including for fraud detection, loss prevention, authentication, and analytics related to the performance of their services.
How is this information collected?
The Website collects the personal information that you directly provide to us via:
a) Signing up for my mailing list;
b) Filling out my Contact form, any Booking form (e.g., for Discovery Sessions, the Programs, group programs, or live performances), Intake forms, or any additional forms pertaining to the services we offer on the Website; and
c) Email correspondence with us.
Your personal information is directly submitted to and collected by either my Gmail account or my Squarespace account.
For Log Data collection, the Website uses Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics’ “cookies” and similar technologies during your interactions with the Website. A “cookie” is a small text file that is placed on your device to store information when you interact with a website.
Why is this personal information collected, and how is it used?
All personal information that you provide is collected to, in turn, fulfill your requests for the following services:
a) Advertising. To appropriately add you to our mailing list, through which we send emails regarding our music, events, classes, mentoring, and coaching;
b) Communicating. To facilitate our receipt of your general and event-specific inquiries via email;
c) Scheduling. To facilitate your booking of a consultation or service with us via Acuity (Acuity is part of the Squarespace suite of products, and shares its privacy policy); and
d) Servicing You. To fulfill any other purpose for which you may provide your personal information.
Correspondingly, and in compliance with the GDPR, your personal information is used for the following reasons:
a) Your personal information is used to add you to our mailing list in order to perform a service that you have consented to and requested of us, as well as to satisfy our legitimate business interest of promoting our activity to our community;
b) Your personal information is used to facilitate inquiry emails and consultation booking via Acuity in order to perform a contract with you or take steps—with your consent and at your request—before entering into a contract;
c) Your personal information is used to fulfill any other purpose for which you may provide your personal information in a manner that you have consented to and/or requested of us; and
d) Your personal information is used to comply with legal and regulatory obligations and to carry out any of our obligations and enforce any of our rights arising from any contracts that you may enter into with us, such as our Terms and Conditions and Service Agreements.
Likewise, Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics collect, monitor, and analyze Log Data solely for the legitimate business interest of content performance analysis, which can inform how we may better service you through the Website.
To be clear, we will always treat your information with the utmost care and respect. We will not sell any of your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes.
Information Storage
All information that my Website collects is stored and processed by Google, Mailchimp, and Squarespace.
Although no service is completely secure, Google, Mailchimp, and Squarespace each avow that they maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data; will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to achieve their respective California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA)- and GDPR-permitted purposes, such as legal compliance; and are GDPR-compliant.
I have also taken measures to ensure that the Log Data that my Website collects does not include any of your personal information.

SHARING OF INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTY PROVIDERS
We are committed to maintaining your trust, and we want you to understand when and with whom we may share the information we collect. We may share your information with third-party vendors and service-providers that help us with specialized services, including billing, payment processing, customer service, email deployment, marketing, advertising, performance monitoring, data processing, and business analytics. Opt-In
Users who would like to sign up for our mailing list will encounter consent checkboxes to ensure that you understand how our mailing list functions and that, by checking the boxes to exercise your opt-in right, you are knowingly granting us permission to contact you via the email address that you provide.
Unsubscribe - Opt-Out
a) All users who sign up for our mailing list—or any other services for which a user may supply an email address—have the right to opt-out of receiving communications at any time by:
i. Filling out the Contact form to request discontinuation of communication; or
ii. Using the “unsubscribe” link in the emails that are sent to the mailing list.
b) All users have the right to opt-out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On and can turn off the use of cookies at any time in your browser’s settings.
