my voice in the community

Honest conversations begin with genuine connections, and it is through these connections that transformation is possible.

Music curator

amplifying artists and inspiring audiences

My gift lies in tapping into the spirit of an event, whether it's a healing performance in a neighborhood garden or a folk-inspired hip-hop band playing in a historic art museum. I bring an intuitive approach, a natural strategy, and a fresh perspective to music programming, prioritizing the well-being of everyone involved, from artists and audience members to venue staff.

Together, by harnessing the transformative power of music, we can create change and unite people from all walks of life!

  • "Shea has been transformative for our organization."

“Working with Shea has been transformative for our organization. She quickly sized up where we were and came up with a terrific music program for us to adopt. She’s thoughtful, insightful, and a great pleasure to work with.”

    – Jim Wooster, Executive Director, Club Passim

  • "Shea was the perfect fit for the job!"

“Shea is exceptionally creative and professional. I've collaborated with her on various projects over the last decade, from her headlining performance at a Human Rights Campaign fundraiser to our most recent collaboration, hosting Berklee's 75th Anniversary show, ‘Timeless.’ The latter task was so difficult that I told my coworkers that I didn't want a host if we didn't get Shea Rose. We needed someone who could sing, dance, memorize, and recite dense historical facts while being funny and glamorous. Shea was the perfect fit for the job!”

    – Jeannie Greeley, Associate Director of Digital Content, Berklee College of Music

  • "The RISE series invited over 60 artists, including community partners and youth spotlights in genres not previously associated with The Gardner."

“ The Rise Music Series opened the museum up to a new, more diverse audience and, in many ways, had a direct impact on the development of our recently launched five-year strategic plan. Over the course of 3 years, the RISE series invited over 60 artists, including community partners and youth spotlights in genres not previously associated with The Gardner -including rock, pop, hip-hop, and more - to perform at 21 concerts in Calderwood Hall. In doing so, The Gardner introduced and welcomed a new audience of younger and more diverse visitors to the museum, offering them the opportunity to see the museum in a new light. “

    – Peggy Fogelman, Norma Jean Calderwood, Director of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
